Hi, I have BIAB 2007.1.0....all updates ....my OS is Windows Home. BB runs from a partioned drive "E".
I was having trouble with BIAB 'dropping instruments' for a few bars...leaving only Bass & Real Drums. Changing markers etc. had no effect.....so I did a "Return to Factory". This message panel came up..."The Toolbar has been reset. If it doesn't reset completely, first close down BIAB then erase file E:\BB\ToolBar7.ini". I clicked OK.....how can I tell if I have HAD a complete reset? .....and where will I find the file?
The reason I have concerns is....recently my PC was infected by malware SECURITY TOOLS. Completely froze my PC. I had to remove it in Safe Mode by hand. Then I ran a complete Scan wth CCleaner....including the registry. Then a scan with Malwarebytes. Things seem OK now. I also had a problem with an update of JAVA....left me with no sounds! I had to do a System Restore.
So...is the file E:\BB|ToolBar7.ini....a genuine BB file and NOT malware, as it has a similar name to "Security Tools"? Will I still have to delete it and which BB folder will I find it in? Thanks in anticipation! Joe G.
