Love the instrumentation and of course your bass. Dave adds just the right touches as always.

Bob Thanks, Bob. It all came from that wherever-that-is place. Had some chords, started strumming and singing gibberish (my favorite language). Finally the hook was saying something about a sad clown. Then I had my only creative moment in the process. I paused, gave a pensive look to the ceiling, asking, "What makes him sad?" Next thing I know I'm asking Dave to add guitar. Hi Marty, Very original!!! Magnificent theme and development. At 2'25" (notably) superb sung note! And what a beautiful solo, I love it enormously. The finale is... special but at least it's unexpected. On headphones, it sounds amazing. Thank you for this superb title  Thank, Paul. You knew I'd have to go see what's at 2:25. Oh, the "now" yoddle. Must've been a shout out to his clown friends in Switzerland. Marty, what an extremely clever topic and an outstanding write.

PS - I will have to play this to my son's friend as she went to clown school and is now a professional clown. It is her part time fun job! Thanks, Mario. I have a few friends who are apparently clown wannabees who thought every school was a clown college. Hope she likes. Wow, Marty. Just...WOW! The coolest write ever, and super guitar and bass playing. But your vocals are next level. LOVE every syllable, and the yodel on "now" in the chorus just never gets old. The vocal FX are quite lovely, and your vocal really pops in the mix, too. I'd save a preset for that. Think I've always thought this, but never more than now: Your vocals reminds me of Dennis Locorriere of Dr Hook. And I LOVE me some Dennis Locorriere. And I love this song. Thanks, Ron. And not just thanks, but THANKS, RON. I like Hook and the Med Show. In 1991 I did a few songs in a Nashville studio with Rod (can't think of his last name) on acoustic guitar. He had some stories about Sylvia's mom.
