Yes Midi Chord Track is the way to go, I posted about this years n years ago with demos for Ni, Toontrack, Ample, Musiclabs, VirtualGuitarist etc, I even made scripts (heaven forbid if I mention those) to ignore keyswitches when transposing and working with the midi chords.
Also in Rapidcomposer that I posted years n years ago showing a way of handling keyswitches of different VSTi's for notes, this gives you a right click articulation menu for notes, Music Developments just listen and implement usually in a short time, not a year in between frown
