I can see it happening down the track as the JUCE Plugin now plays the tracks direct from data only. This could work on an iPad with the m4a RTs & RDs on the iPad's storage it could communicate with the back end on your home PC to generate the track data as a txt file rather than a rendered m4a sent over the internet it would be quicker.
Once the JUCE Plugin Standalone gets the generate code within it this can then be compiled for iPad.
