Classic rock fans. We caught this 1977 high-energy North London taping of The Who last night. It was one of the last public performances of Kieth Moon. They played most of their anthems in true Who form.

Apparently, this concert, filmed on 35mm, was locked in someone’s vault for years and then “discovered”, remastered and then broadcasted.

Closer to home for me, "The Ox" was not only a phenomenal bassist but he collaborated with Hiwatt and Sunn to push the development of bass amp design. He experimented with “Bi-amping” where the high and low ends of the bass signal were sent thru separate signal paths for greater control contributing to his distinctive sound.

Well done . . . RIP guys.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
