Hi all,
I like learning songs as close to the recording as possible.
That said, I'd also like to play around with stems from those songs using BB / RB. If an original recording of a song is loaded into BB/RB, can BB / RB find the closest style, RealTrack / RealDrum that comes closest to that song ? so that I can read the "musical description" that comes along with the BB/RB realtrack and find other similar but not identical RealTracks/RealDrums to play with ? I suppose the same can be said of individual stems to the original recordings.
I guess another way of asking this is, I know one can find styles by typing in the name of a particular song from an artist - can it be done instead by having BB/RB analyze the audio of the original recording's mp3 ?

It's a great idea, and one that has been discussed previously, including by PGM staff, but it's not available at this stage.

This is a feature I was hoping for the most in this upgrade. Studio One has this built in splice feature that does this. Sadly I am not interested in the splice app which is subscription based and also the genre's do not really match my music style. But the idea of dragging the audio file into the search and find the closest match with tempo, key and genre is great. This is already available in Toontrack products which I do use.
