The audio chord detection feature in Band-in-a-Box 2025 seems largely unchanged compared to previous versions. While the current tech does a decent job, it struggles with complex or polyphonic audio files.
Imagine if BIAB could accurately and automatically detect chords from any audio file with near-perfect precision. This would make creative workflows significantly easier and more intuitive.
Do you think there’s potential for PG Music to adopt emerging technologies like deep learning or advanced chroma extraction to improve audio chord detection in future versions? What specific improvements or features would you like to see?

I think this is a human technology issue, not a BIAB issue.
It's like there was no audio separation technology before last year. But now DAW is basically available.
Speaking of chord detection, I have used it many times, but it may not be very accurate, but it basically provides a safe direction. Because there are too many instruments, machines cannot recognize them very accurately. At least for now, assuming that other DAWs are detected accurately by 2025, BIAB will definitely be detected accurately as well.
This is similar to the principle of audio separation technology.
So, currently there are some software that are enhancing search convenience and have already implemented it. So, BIAB also needs to keep up with the pace. Otherwise, it will gradually be abandoned by everyone due to inconvenience.
