i've just watched the boot camp video for stem splitters in BIAB, then saving the file to an acw extension but i seem to remember a post by rharv that says the splittter works in RB with the 'existing song'. does that meam i can use the ACW then split the stems in the current RB file? don't have 2025 yet but i want to split an exising backing tracks sent by a friend and i know my way round RB best.

Stem Splitter is a new for 2025 feature in RealBand and Band-in-a-Box. 2024 and before does not have Stem Splitter.

Currently, to use the Stem Splitter in RB, you would use "Import Audio File to separate tracks (using Stem Splitter)..." command in either the Audio menu or File - Open Special menu. Currently, you would need to render the track that you want to split to a .WAV file if it's a track that's already in the current song. Thanks.

Thanks - I know I have to buy 2025 before I can split stems. Should I use ACW before or after the split? I have a wav file sent by a friend and stems would allow me to remix it and then ACW would allow me to add other tracks.
So if I open as Jeff suggests can I use ACW then?

I'm not sure it matters about whether you use ACW first, as long as you use it on the main mix. Thanks.
