So in my BIAB when I try to use a jazz "medley" soloist, like one that changes instruments every chorus, it only plays the 1st instrument and never changes.
I have the "change on every chorus" box checked in the soloist options. everything else seems to be correct
in the soloist selector window the soloist shows up like this "medley every chorus: Sax NA trumpet NA trombone NA vibes etc. "
so it looks to me like maybe I do not have the correct add-ins installed to make the medley work? or is there something else happening?
I have Band-in-a-Box MegaPAK Upgrade 2024 for Mac & XPro Styles PAK 7 for Mac . I upgraded from Band-in-a-Box Pro 2023 for Mac
any advice would be appreciated

It sounds to me that you don't have the required RealTracks for those styles.
Can you advise exactly what style you have been using. Someone might be able to check what RealTracks are required.

soloist # 1324 shows up like that with sax working but the other instruments have a NA in front of them and dont play. however soloist 1323 does not have NA in front of any instruments and actually works fine. so it probably is because I dont have the real tracks with those styles.
a lot of the real track solos say N/A. is this because I dont have the Ultra pack version?

they just had a deal on the ultrapack upgrade + all 19 xtra styles packs and I got it so I think this should take care of my problems LOL

they just had a deal on the ultrapack upgrade + all 19 xtra styles packs and I got it so I think this should take care of my problems LOL Boy am I glad I read your post a second time. I didn't see you purchased the UltraPAK until second read. According to +++ THIS +++ webpage All of the Melodist Sets are included in the UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, and Audiophile Editions of Band-in-a-Box®. so yeah, that should take care of your problems!  Of course you know your purchase is available for download at your online account. You can download and install all the Melodist Sets now and play with them while downloading and installing the rest of your order.
