The Christmas Eve Blues Bud calls Janice the most positive human on the planet but that doesn’t mean the girl can’t sing some Christmas blues. 👀😀 We produced this 10 years ago and thought it might be worthy of a remix. But since it was full of legacy effects and the mix sounded sort of ok  we opted only for a quick modern remastering. And, yeah, had we started anew we would've made some mix changes and added a solo. BUT, it's just another little Christmas ditty and regardless of our caveats we always welcome your thoughts and appreciate your time to listen ... it's short! Enjoy the holidays y’all!! Thanks to PG Music and although this was recorded before we met our music partner PeterF we’d like to thank him for all the fun collabs this and past years. Written by the great Blind Lemon Jefferson nearly 100 years ago it’s public domain world wide thus we own all rights to our production. Hi Janice and Bud. Awesome, awesome, awesome listening! Mathematically speaking: Janice + the blues = a truly fantastic musical journey. The sound of musical authenticity rings loud and clear everywhere! As far as I can recall, I've never heard this song before and I'm really loving what's coming through my headphones. An xcellent Xmas country song xposition with xcellent lyrics and vocals xpertly xemplifying a hope if not an xpectation of an Xmas reunion. The acoustic bass was an xemplary choice for the rhythm section. May your Xmas be mega-merry.

So, how can something that makes me feel so good be called the blues?! Super job, guys. Love the simple backing and especially the resophonic. Vocals are of course sweet and soulful, and I like the almost-dry FX chain a lot. The mix works perfectly and makes the song sound especially fresh and lively. A very nice Christmas surprise for all of us here, THANK YOU! Hope ya'll have a great holiday!

Blues + Christmas sounds like a strange combination but you have made it work perfectly Janice's pleading voice is the finest chocolate to enjoy under the Christmas tree. Mmmms express the deliciousness and the final "Ho ho"s are the taste of mint when the chocolate finally melts. The band supports nicely, the rhythm and the mix have a positive feel that warms even in the coldest night. Happy holidays Janne

YEP! Janice's positive outlook is quite contagious, and I am throughly infected. YEP! She can sing the BLUES, or anything else when she steps up to the mic. Bud, this one is too short. I listened twice before even starting this comment. The usual perfect mix, and what a terrific rendition. You guys, instead of turning those old cats in their graves, make them stand right up and dance cuz they never heard their song done so well. Hey, the new BiaB has like 8 new blues styles that Blind Lemon, Big Bill and all those cats from the 30s would be proud of, giving them their 10th life.

I would’ve added a wee bit more verb on a couple of tracks had we remixed it but I never use any when mastering. Thanks for mentioning the reso as I had comped it up some. I don't listen to Xmas songs as a rule but when I read it was one about Blind Lemon's squeeze I had to listen.
FABULOUS rendition. I though the band's entry was a bit abrupt but it became the reality quickly & works well
