Hi all, I'm a big progressive rock fan - love the 3 groups mentioned but for many songs simply cannot hear how to properly count with them. One great way to learn counting to tricky time signatures would be to have a recording (from a copy band - say Karaoke version or Jamzone) of the music that has the correct time signatures and/or music displayed. Is there anyone out there similarly interested and challenged by these time signatures that has anyone come across a program or DAW that has the correct time signatures and input files for some of the groups' songs ? If not that - how about Youtube links with musicians explaining the timing ? (ps - I know the music of King Crimson has been transcribed and is available, but I really need to hear and see it at the same time - on that note, I wonder if anyone has input the King Crimson scores) King Crimson - Discipline Era Transcriptions

FWIW, RealBand will handle the tempos and odd Time Signatures
Have never tried to create a copy of their stuff, though I do enjoy it.
Those transcriptions look pretty neat.
I have a Yes printed 'anthology' book with a lot of their music

Despite the popularity and love of prog rock - and the many experienced music techies in this area, I've found very little in terms of digitized music of the greats I mention that can be listened to and analyzed in a DAW with correct time signatures.
In theory, if the transcriptions of King Crimson are accurate, is it relatively easy to buy them, input them to a music score program, and have them read and played by RealBand or any other sophisticated DAW ? On that note, do most of the DAWs out there handle odd time signatures ? I suppose same question for your Yes anthology book.

Great question, I too am a fan of prog rock; Yes, Genesis, ELP and Pink Floyd are some of my favorites. Have you looked for Guitar Pro transcriptions? A friend recently made me aware of this site. The Guitar Lesson I can’t confirm accuracy but I see 29 transcriptions for Yes 27- King Crimson 110 – Rush The Ultimate Guitar site may also be useful, you can make song requests there if you can't find what you want. The above combined with YouTube downloads is a ton of material to work with.
