Only he who is forgotten is dead.” -Immanuel Kant- Hello forum members I had originally written this song for the fourth anniversary of my mother's death, but in the final stages of production Wolle's and my good friend Georg died unexpectedly and this song is now dedicated to him. A song that expresses the feelings and thoughts about the loss of a loved one. But also the realization that our loved ones will live on in our memories and in our hearts. This is exactly what will make us smile again after a while. I would like to thank everyone involved for the incredibly good cooperation. It is always a pleasure to work with you. Andi,
Perhaps disingenuous of me to post first, but wanted to chime in and share what a joy it was to participate in the creation of this song. I'm at the age where I'm beginning to lose those I have loved and known . . . and the only comfort we can take is knowing, though gone, they will forever live on in our hearts. I'm ever appreciative of being a part of this song and this group of artists. My thanks to you Andi, for doing an amazing job orchestrating all our efforts, and of course, to Wolle (killer solo), Shigeki (soulful strings), and Marty (beaming bass and amazing video).
I hope everyone who hears and sees the song enjoys it as much as I did working on it with my fellow Sound Guardians.

Hi, Andi. You and your team did a fine job with this. Excellent write. Deej did a great job on the vocal, and the arrangement fits. I really liked the build as the song went along. Good job, all!

Fabulous song, performances and production. Just...fabulous. Super dynamic flow. Relatable topic, perhaps especially for the generation of folks most frequently on this forum.
Sound Guardians are an impressive Supergroup. Did I say "fabulous"? Worth repeating...

Great job from EVERYONE involved with this. Deej's voice takes centre stage, here, but one can tell that everyone's contribution, here, is both vital and top-notch. Beautiful, almost whispered ending ... a moving homage to all whom we miss.

WOW! What a fun group. Love how you guys craft and develop these songs. So much fun to be a part of it. Deej, your vocals... well, you know how I feel. Any more accolades would be embarrassing for both of us. Shigeki, man, you are the master of string composition. You always manage to fill the song with just the right ingredients to add that special flavor. Wolfgang, you are a real treat, man. What a talented family. Andi, oh, man, what can I say, my friend. Another beautiful write and collab. You consistently craft gems that are so relateable and passionate. Songs that everyone who has a heart would instantly love.

Sound Guardians can really make stadium level ballads with subjects bigger than life and very professional playing. "Gone from this World/But not from my heart" is a simple, yet very powerful description of the theme. Deej interprets the touching message with full of emotion in every detail. Enjoyed especially the guitar solo, but Marty and Shigeki support by giving the solid base to the arrangement. The classic melody is a new feather in Sound Guardians' cap.
Very creative collaboration. You are really keeping the memory of all loved ones alive.

This is a great collaboration (as I wrote on YT). Totally relate to the lyrics as I've had so many family members, old friends and beloveds pass away and there always seems to be a hole in the world where they once were or walked. Though on the plus side I've had around 12 experiences of visits from them in one form or another after their passing. Only the body dies.

This is an outstanding production, video and audio, that well showcases the talent of each collaborator.
The opening with piano and Deej’s vocal was sublime - love the clarity of his vocal.
We can certainly relate to the lyric - an excellent one
The mix and arrangement are standout.
