Yes, it would be great if SD cards have improved for speed and file handling. I'd love to hear from anyone that has tried one of the new ones with BiaB. And if so, let us know make/model.
I tried it with a Patriot EP V30 256gb card. Read speed is around 80mb/sec and write is around 25mb/sec. BB loads and runs fine from it, though it's a tad slow to launch. Average render time for the _JAZFRED demo song is 38.5 seconds, vs from my internal SSD render time is 13.2 seconds. Quite a bit slower, but if it's what you've got it seems to work perfectly fine. I'd suggest formatting the card as either NTFS or ExFAT, and would avoid FAT32.
