I must admit that I was wrong in what I said earlier. Well, we can choose vst3 for the default synth if we follow what Noel96 says. Noel96 : https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=834144#Post834144I've tested it with Halion sonic7 and now the problem is that I can't get it to respond to program changes when loading or changing midi styles. I will investigate the matter further. Thanks Moultipass, Noel96 and Rustypoons I tested this as well and found that Halion Sonic 7 does not respond to program changes when loaded into other programs - Reaper for example. I spent a long time looking into it and found out that only Cubase as a DAW can send the Program Change commands correctly to Halion. This is due to the latest VST3 specification from Steinberg, which has not yet been implemented correctly by other programmers. You have to have the specification, read it and possibly contact Steinberg.
