This really got off to a great start. Caught my attention and hear. Enjoyed your tune.

You might want to give that bass player a raise - he kills it on this one!

Loved it - top shelf all the way.

Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Alan, and yes, you came to mind while msking this song actually, like WWAD. What would Alan do at this part. Comments like yours are the only raise that matters.

Thanks, Floyd. I know you're playing some cool piano these days AND guitar, and it tempts me to play piano more again, but just like the guitar players in this box we all enjoy, it quickly becomes a back-burner idea. Of course, all of the bassists in the box are far better than me too, but a guy's gotta have SOME fun. Hope you had a great Christmas, Floyd. Thanks for your inspiration.

Thanks, Torrey! I listen to your music a lot, and it's good hearing from you. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the Christmas Season.

Thanks, Bob. uh-oh, here comes a true confession. I have no idea what a notch filter is. I have a lot of knobs and sliders and plug-ins that I just move around until it sounds alright. If it doesn't, I drop it and try something else. Now I gotta go look up notch filter... Okay, a quick search tells me I may have. Haha. Thanks, Bob.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Creative take on the love lost theme … nice!

The cool jazzy funky flavor is to us a different style for you and it suits you very well.
We also got a bit of an early Loggins and Messina feel.

Smooth vocal and bass (no surprise) and the soprano solo was excellent.

Nice mix, supportive vid and arrangement to top it all off.

Enjoyed it!

Hi, Marty.

Pleasant listen - easy jazz goes down smooth. The sax solo works very well.

If I were browsing the web instead of listening carefully, I might think the lyrics were much more cheerful than they are. wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks, Carl. Got my reservation for tomorrow. Classy might be new for me. hehe But Polka and Metal are maybe the only two territories I avoid.

Janice & bud, Bud & Janice, yeah, the singer still wore hope on his sleeve, but because of something in his eye he just couldn't see the end. That sax solo started off pretty easy with just one --maybe 2-- measures that needed regenerations. But that one... wish I had that RT player in the studio. Thanks for everything, you two.

Thanks, David. Your comments on this forum are always so helpful. You're like one of the EF Hutton types here. May not always agree with ya, but I always learn helpful stuff from you on others' posts as well. Yeah, that singer was trying to keep a positive attitude, but she wasn't really listening.
