so I did what you recommended and I saw that there was a change, so I dug in this direction by checking and unchecking the box you are talking about in the display prefs and see what happened, after multiple attempts with restart etc, it's always the same thing.
If I restart and do the same operation, with your recommendations it always takes a long time to open a folder (only on the original BIAB audiophile disc...).
could it be the disc that has a problem?

I saw on another thread that people had trouble installing biab ... I happened to me with a message telling me that I did not have enough GB on my internal HD (I had 300GB left to install 60 GB roughly). So I did a "clean install" with Sequoia and there I was able to install the Biab set-up on my internal HD.
