A way to use your DAW with Biab is if it can save/load a track template, this way the track data from Biab could be written to a track template that you just load into your DAW. So let me know if you have a DAW that can do this, you can try putting sections of wav files in a track and set some of them to another pitch, save the track as a template then load it back in. At the moment Reaper is the only DAW I have found that can be used as a complete extension to Biab & BB Plugin, all the needed data can be transferred instantly to Reaper giving full control and tweaking of any section or track as it don't use consolidated wav files renders filling up the hard drive. ReWireVST will integrate even more syncing your DAW to Biab/RB play position. Once track edit capability is added to the BB Plugin this will give non destructive editing to ANY DAW without the need to drop consolidated wav files in, more users need to start thinking outside the box and see the potential the Plugin has. ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=29601&filename=BB25-Plugin-Track-Edit.gif)

I use Sonar (by Bandlab) and I am aware that Sonar supports templates. In fact, the version I have currently offers a number of default templates for starting a new project. I always select the 16 tracks audio template and go from there to set up each new project. That consists of collapsing the side panels and setting it up for "D" to swap console and track view.
It's designed to be a time saver. You can set up the template to load a certain number of tracks, plugins, and a host of other things that gets you running quickly with a new project.
Personally, I have tried it but never really use it when I start a new song project. It literally only takes a few seconds to set up a new project the way I like to start.
Once I have the project set up and running like I want in BB, I save and close it. Then, in the DAW, I open the BB Plugin and dragging the tracks from BB to Sonar takes a couple of seconds. As a result, I've never felt the need to look for a faster way to do things.
In addition, the few times I have actually used a custom template, I always ended up having to change things around anyway.
Edit: It's good to know that there are shortcuts available to anyone who does feel the need to use them.
