If you prefer the modal dialog version of the song picker, you can set the main menu -edit - x use multipicker instead of modal dialog to false. That makes it work like 2024 did.

Alternatively, you can just click the Song button while holding down shift, and that will always run the modal dialog.
This will address both issues you reported, where you want the dialog to close when you choose a song, and the issue when you press certain keys.

The message when pressing letter keys will be removed in next patch, but the message isn’t anything serious and the program should resume normally when you dismiss the message
