Hi all,

After spending quite a bit of time feeling that maybe I find some quirky install manager problems, I have to let PG and all kind enough to try and help that it seems to be an error with the external WD 4TB gaming drive I purchased.

An internet search shows this a common problem with this and other WD large capacity external drives.

As is common with me - I purchase items that I don't get around to using for many months, even years. I'm lucky I can afford to do this (BB no exception lol)

Based on all the complaints and looking at WD's support policy, it seems they've completely wiggled out of fixing this problem legally - they probably new all along as they continued to sell and ship them. Likely a firmware problem, and it cannot be updated on this drive.

That said, I can still use the drive. The BB install manager will warn of insufficient space, but still allow a single install to run - it will not run the next install automatically - my guess, due to thinking the disk is out of space and displaying that message, stopping. The next install program can be manually restarted and works.

File manager can see the empty space.

Whatever method the BB install manager uses to check space on the disk, that is what my WD gaming drive does not properly support.

Also, the Realtrack settings Custom Realtracks Folder "Update" button does not work on this drive either - when clicked, nothing happens, yet I can type the external folder path into the textbox and have it accept that.

I'm finishing the manual install of the program and I'm hoping good to go after that rather than junking the drive.
