On my way creating backing tracks with Biab I find the rendered MP3s sound not all convincing using WAS in audio settings. Probably there are better ways to render the Biab files where especially Midi sounds are more professional.
How do you get your best results for a simlar task?
Thanks for you input.

I have a couple of questions: 1-What sound sources are you using for your MIDI tracks? Coyote GM? Kontakt? SampleTank? ETC 2-What Continuous Controllers (CCs) if any are you using? Volume? Mod Wheel? Pitch Bend (not technically a CC)? etc
I have found that many BiaB MIDI tracks are pretty stagnate but with some MIDI CCs they come to life.
Also what compression rate are you using when rendering to MP3? If it is lower that 192 it will not sound that good. A 320 compression rate is close to sounding like a WAV file.
When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
while I have almost "everything" I struggle to have it set up and work to produce reliable good results. If I struggle too much with the software settings, I revert back to something that simply works even if it sounds not at it´s best. As my intention is to play music, not to fight with stuff.
the settings I used lately for my "quick" start of this project looks like in the screenshot attached. Probably I could use other techniques with Kontakt, Halion 7/Sonic or soundfonts I have plenty of - but this usually ends up being not a musical session but something else....
Hope you can suggest something easy, that will produce better results as my end goal would be using this to play along with the backing tracks using my midi accordion.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers Stefan

do you find the midi sounds not good enough? sadly the TTS1 is no longer available for free but if you use vstsynthfont with a soundbank like timbres of heaven you might like the sound better than coyote
