Is This Just a Dream

BobH and I had a "I love us" day a week ago where we just listen to things we have done in the past. We came across this one. It was recorded in 2010. All I did was extract the vocal and do a couple of minor tweaks. Bob's brother-in-law SteveS is singing the lead vocal, Bob is playing the acoustic rhythm guitar, and BiaB is supplying the drum and string tracks. I am playing everything else. I could not locate what BiaB style was used back then. Note that the reverb was attached to the vocal so I couldn't change that.

There is nothing like an old song at the start of a New Year!

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Mario,

I love bringing out some of the older stuff as well. This was excellent. A very cool throwback.

A pleasant listen.
I especially like what you did with the strings. And the ending horns.

Mario,

This was worthy of a resurrection! I'll take the vocal like it is any day(reverb too)! I liked it! The melody is very nice especially in the chorus sections! It's a lovely song Mario! You and Bob both did an excellent job here!

Thanks, TB

Mario, very cool song, and well performed by all. Those BiaB strings can be very serviceable, and these work quite nicely. 2010 never sounded so good...Great save!!!

Isn't it sweet to dig up old stuff and realize it still sounds great?

Sweet, luscious, and dreamy. Ya did a great job of touching up.

Loved my listen. Hoping 2025 brings more terrific music from you. That would significantl\y contrinbute to a happy new year!

Best to you and your comrades.

There's a wonderful atmosphere to this love song. Warm vocals, great instrument tracking and a really good chord structure. Lovely vibe.

Thanx Bob. Unfortunately a lot of our old stuff are covers, thus I can't post them.

Thanx Floyd. I'm biased about French horns as I used to play one. Thanx for the string comment.

Thanx Torrey. Bob, Steve, and I had some good sessions back then but most were covers, thus I can't post them.

Thanx Ron. Those strings are a MIDI track using my sound sources. Unfortunately I don't have the BiaB style that they came from.

I read "BobH and I" and jumped right to the Play button. I was wondering if that was Bob singing, and eventually learned he comes from a larger family of talent. Steve sounds terrific. I like the subtle sound. Yeah, I like your result of your "I love us" day. Do it again. Do it again.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Are you the composer of the music? I like the melody in the verse. Singable and memorable. It's good that you resurrected this song. It's a darn good one.
