In my experience basic arpeggiators work like that .. the lowest note is considered a single note (monophonic) starting point and the rest of the played notes are ignored.
I know on my older boards if I select an arpeggiator and try to hold a chord it ignores all but the lowest (base) note.
The arpeggio itself had to be programmed to do what you wanted inside the synth itself ... not sure how that applies to SynthMaster
