Another remix and channel-swap, though I'm retaining the 2023 date, this is the second of two instrumental versions of a song I wrote in 1981, the subtitle "Gentle Lovelight" coming from the song's lyrics. As the original video only used one image I've kept it at that this time around, though I'm now using a new one. Piano; Country Pop Ballad Solo Acoustic - John Jarvis Organ: Country Rocks Guitar Solo, Pop Ba -- Gene Rabbai Drums: Country Rocks Guitar Solo, Pop Ba - Brian Fullen Bass guitar: Country Rocks Guitar Solo, Pop Ba - Tobin Frank Rhythm guitar: Country Rocks Guitar Solo, Pop Ba - Darin Fovorite 1st Guitar solo: Outback Country Ballad Soloist - Johnny Hiland 2nd Guitar solo: Rose To You Country Ballad Solo - Johnny Hiland 3rd Guitar solo: Jovian Divine Alt Rock Soloing - unknown 4th Guitar solo: Modern Groove Soloist, Brit Rock - Dave Cleveland Strings: Enya44 Soft Ev. 16 Techno Orche & Sirius Smooth Jazz hybrid 128 bars; 4/4 Am; tempo 100; Time 5:18

Chay, cool build into your main theme. Like the first (? I may have lost count) lead guitar intro a lot, and that solo has some interesting repeating motifs. Super arrangement and mix as always. 1981 was a good year!

Man, how you get all those tracks to behave with each so well is amazing. And, as always, the solos are excellent.
Nice mix too.
Happy New Year,

The organ is the hero of this piece...things become, forgive me, organic once it kicks in. Well done.

Chay, cool build into your main theme. Like the first (? I may have lost count) lead guitar intro a lot, and that solo has some interesting repeating motifs. Super arrangement and mix as always. 1981 was a good year! Thanks Ron. There are 4 guitar solos, the 1st 2 sounding like 1 as it's the same sample set and musician from 2 different styles, and where there's the repeated phrase at 2 minutes in, the 1st phrase finishes the 1st solo and the 2nd phrase begins the 2nd solo. Finding that connection was one of those lucky breaks when selecting which samples to use.

Chay, A nice, big, full sound. Good guitar solos. Well mixed. fj Thanks for the listen and comment, Floyd. I only just noticed your "150+" BiaB songs, etc. That's amazing. Pre BiaB I'd only written 80ish with lyrics since 1969 and I think I've only done 36 using BiaB, currently all but 2 being instrumentals, plus I have 2 yet to post anywhere. However I've never been more prolific than now thanks to BiaB.

Chay, you have a knack for producing the best and most intriguing instrumentals. Your arranging and mixing skills are second to no one. Another winner! Thanks for the compliments, Mario! What I've come to accept I'm currently not good at is mastering and I wish I was, but I never needed such a skill prior to the IT age and BiaB. I've done a lot of research on the subject this last year and nearly everyone says you can't beat an experienced professional, sometimes in reference to all of the new AI plug-ins which are emerging. When I've listened to demos of the latter I often feel the same way I do about my own attempts at mastering: I usually prefer the original file!

The organ is the hero of this piece...things become, forgive me, organic once it kicks in. Well done. Thanks for the response, Ray. The organ is so key in the majority of my tracks. After I've got the chord structure I want, the first part of what really is an organic process is getting the rhythm section sorted. Once that's down I can then spend hours collecting oodles of samples to try out for the solos and most often 20-40 are rejected before finding those that truly organically fit, though even then I find I often have to cut and paste regenerations of chosen instruments. I just completed my 1st instrumental of 2025 which at 85bpm is the slowest I've yet done, but the chord structure doesn't lend itself to solos, so the opening one I could only make work by cutting and pasting 7 sections from 5 different regenerations, then the 2nd solo is a hybrid of 4 regenerations, only the final solo being perfect first time out!
