Yes, the vocal reverb is a bit off putting...you could try to match that reverb and apply it to the overall sound. It's usually the other way around with folk using the built in BIAB reverb and then adding a vocal reverb that doesn't sit.
Your playing is VERY cool Mario.

Cheers

Nice gentle visit from the archives…sitting here on a quiet Sunday morning gazing at nature out my window, the perfect morning coffee companion. I esp liked the maj7 first chord and melody notes—immediate puts listener in the peaceful place—-just like a dream!

What a great song. I love the guitar, like sliding. Nice riff.

Thanx so much Marty. I actually met Bob through Steve as Steve contacted me to produce three CDs of there original songs. Bob and I have been together since then. Steve now has other interests. Do it again can be a problem as we did covers and as you know we can't post them here.

Thanx so much. Steve composed the words, Bob and I did the chord progression and I did most of the production work. Of course the other two had input and the final say about the finished product. They came over on a Sunday, I did the production work (leads, backing tracks, effects, and mix) during the week and on the following Sunday we all listened and made the necessary adjustments. That is basically how Bob and I currently work on our songs.

Thanx Ray. Yes, after hearing this for the first time in years I did notice that I over did the reverb. But it was embedded in the vocal track and I don't have the original stems. Note that I never add any BiaB effects to my tracks as they are added only in my DAW.

Thanx for that playing comment, I appreciate it.

I love this song, it sounds like it would lend itself well to a full-on R&B arrangement. The singer reminds me of Hurricane Smith. Great work, everyone!

Glad you revisited this as we much enjoyed it!
Well done and the reverb on the vocal sounds fine.

It's always an adventure renewing an older production.
Well worth the effort!

Hi, Mario.

A very pleasant, dreamy song. smile

I'm with rayc on taking out some of the vocal reverb to better match the rest of the instruments. If it's baked into the original vocal, Waves Clarity Vx can be used to remove it.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanx David, especially for that Waves suggestion. I didn't know about that. Like I said that was recorded in 2010, back when I was learning mixing. I should say that I still am learning mixing. Thanx for listening and commenting.
