I'm pretty sure that the Band-in-a-Box DAW Plugin is designed for a one way flow where midi data or audio travels from the plugin to the DAW; not vice-versa where data or audio travels from the DAW to the Plugin.

I'm sorry but I don't understand your meaning with " I also am unable to use biab midi recording like a proper daw where I can isolate midi notes, copy and paste etc". Please provide an example of what you're wanting to do?
