Hi John, I think Realband is more like a normal DAW in some of its operation. I prefer to use Realband once I have the song laid out in Band In A Box as BIAB renders the song faster. Once I have selected the style to use and entered the chord progression in BIAB, I then open the song in Realband and do the actual recording of instruments and vocals in Realband. However, you should use whatever fits best for your workflow. Realband allows you to see all the tracks of your song and has a much better mixer. It also lets you modify each track with volume changes so you can fade in our out different portions of the track and allows you to add multiple effects easier. I personally think Realband has a lot of things going for it but it seems like PG Music doesn't put as much effort into developing it as they do BIAB. That's my opinion anyway.
