I'm still trying to get my head around Synthmaster. It doesn't seem to recognise volume changes that I draw in RealBand's tracks window - or indeed velocity changes I make. The only way I can change the volume is to render the track to a wave file and then draw in the volume changes. There must be a simpler solution. Any suggestions? Mike
Mike, I believe you are correct and can not adjust SynthMaster output.
Volume automation is directed to a track's audio output. Since it is a plugin SynthMaster is a track insert and track inserts come before a track s audio output. I do not know of a way to redirect track automation from the track's audio output to the output of a track insert.

Thanks Jim. But why can I control volume and velocity in my other plugins, including Kontakt instruments, Spitfire Audio and Sforzando? Mike
Are you sure you are using Volume Nodes and not the default Gain Nodes? Right-click track to change. Do not know if either works in SynthMaster, but just an idea...

I don't know Mike but my guess is the SynthMaster audio output is limited by the preset sound designer.
Band-in-a-Box uses the free SynthMaster 2 Player. Per the SynthMaster FAQs +++HERE +++ the player has some built-in limitations [quote]SynthMaster Player / SynthMaster Player FREE has very limited editing capabilities compared to SynthMaster: You can only edit 12 easy parameters assigned by the sound designer, and bypass states of layer/global effects.
I assume you are using synthmaster on a midi track correct? If so do your volume changes in the events list. Or as suggested convert the midi track to audio and work with the automation nodes. either way you can get it done.
