Since I don't know country _at all_, I don't really care if it's hardcore or not - what I hear is an excellent song with fantastic harmonies.
Hardcore or not, I like it!
By the way, your vocals don't sound that dissimilar to Floyd's, especially the harmonies.

Hi, Paul.

Even before I saw your comments, the first thing I thought was "Well, that's a country song![/i]"

Classic sound, and you know how to sing it. Nice harmonies.

Nice write - I love how the song pounds in the hook, the way classic country should.

I enjoyed this one a lot. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

We love the "hat act" period of country, e.g., Strait, Jackson, etc.
And, man, you nailed that ... vocal, lyric and production.

Excellent!

It doesn't matter to me the genre, as long as it's good. And this is so good! A most excellent. As Floyd says, this sounds pro.

I love your voice! When you make it soar, as you did a couple times in this song, it's thrilling. Song was good, too. Well done.

That's a gorgeous song. I played a lot of this kind of country in my gigging years.

I like everything about it from the vibrato guitar to the steel to the vocals and the groove.

This isn't a complaint. I would have replaced the constant steel in the background with acoustic guitar and a sparingly played piano for the background and fills in the verses. Where it picked up the solo was a perfect fill. That's just how I would have mixed it. Still totally enjoyed the song. Great job.
