I have a burning question if you or anyone could answer. I see that 10 Years After played the 1969 Bath Blues Festival held in June 1969 and Woodstock held in August 1969. So my question is: Did they play "I'm going home" at Bath?????
Alvin Lee was my all time favourite guitarist (also gone too soon)
Sorry to take you down this rabbit hole.
Re Glastonbury . Friends have commented about it becoming overly corporate with all the inevitable negativity which that entails.

I don't recall what Ten Years After played at Bath as it was such a long time ago. I still have photos of some of the bands on stage, but I checked and TYA aren't in any. In the 90s I met Coliseums' drummer and was able to give him copies of photos of the band on stage as he was a regular at the same pub. Not in the itinerary Roy Harper also played there and I have one photo from his set. Others unlisted probably performed too. Oddly I don't recall seeing Savoy Brown there, but they were also favourites back then.

Izzy, that was one of the fastest 4 minute song I have every heard. I was so interested in it time just flew-by.
How did you manage to sing all of those words? You did a great job on the vocal.
Super mix especially since you use so many RTs.
I really liked this one.

Doc-take it easy John this is just a sharp scalpel. It will not cut deep so don't worry.
Me-I'm not John

Hi Izzy,

I think I heard severall versions of your vocals, all very interesting!
But this latest version of your vocal capabilities is (to my opinion) the best one.

The lyrics are huge. I like the line "We are the dreamers who carry the flame". But also creative. Never heard anyone sing like this about Woodstock.
And the variety in instruments in your song works out very good. Especially the rhythm change (synth?) after the words "O, we wander...etc" !!!

I agree (a bit) with TuneMonger on what he said about the flowing of the words, and sing a bit less.
But that's a minor point. I do think though, you could've used some more reverb on the vocals.

I never was at Woodstock, too young and out of money. Beside that, I found out I don't really like mass gatherings.
Enjoy the compliments on this song, Izzy. You earned them!

Hans
