This track was sequenced on Reason. The vocal track was done on Yamaha Vocaloid 5 with Chris as the voice bank. The solos were generated from BIAB, Shearing solos. The vocal solo is from the same generated solo using the top melody of the solo.
So much fun!! A great, creative big-band track…you used the brass section so well..and the solo area was well-done. How you ever created the “scat” section with the synth voices singing various sounds is beyond me!! This is an excellent “tutorial” on what can be done out of the BIAB toolkit + synth voices. Yep, love rules when there are none. Fine vocal, and the horns you added bring in so much goodness. I love he whole song including the hand claps. The scatting sounded at first rehearsed, like prepared rather than jammed (which is fine, of course). But changed my mind as it grew; it's so darn good. Man, you have such a good vocal range.
