Well, Floyd, for 3:18 you said nothing quite well - articulate!
You lead playing is coming right along. I ain't got much to say, but every word is heartfelt. Loved everything about it.

I love this song! It's a sentiment I've wanted to write about for a long time now, but having heard yours, I no longer feel the need to write it. You've covered the bases well! And I've never heard you sound so rock and roll, it was an awesome vocal! No shame in playing second fiddle to Mister Brent Mason unless your name is Johnny Hiland. I thought your guitar work fit the song well. Great outing! Thanks, TM. Write that song!!! These things need to be said over and over until it's heard. There’s a whole lotta something in that nothing you had to say. 😊
“A joy in simply living” YES! This looks like one of Janice’s quotes posted in our kitchen.
Love the gritty vocal and the talking before the solo.
The solo is impressive mr jane and even more so given how well it supports the entire vibe of the tune in both chops and tone. Hopefully it is the harbinger of many more!
Good drums mashup of BiaB and Addictive Drums and a great mix. Love that snare pop.
Piano - check Lead guitar - check What’s next man?
Get down, floyd jane!
J&B
P.S. Say some more nothing, please. Much appreciated... I can almost picture that kitchen.. Thanks for the chop-n-tone mentions.. Those fills and solos sound good to me! Cool pulsating rocker---one that would keep the people in a bar hopping. Enjoyed it. Thanks, Scott... Nice Floyd. Like the tone.
There sure are some good pickers and riffers on this forum, and you have definitely joined the club.
You and Herb should do a duet like picking brothers. It might be a lot of fun for you guys.
Just a thought.
The forum does have lots of awesome collaborations these days! Thanks, David... Let's keep it organic.

Floyd that is a good sounding song. Personally, I thought it had a bit of a Fogarty flavor. Good one Sir Jane Rob -thanks for stopping by. I can get behind "a bit of a Fogarty flavor". Hi floyd.
I would love to be able to think of songs lyrics like these. As I see it, it's kind of like 'reading between the lines'. It's what you don't say that makes these lyrics all the more powerful. You really are quite an amazing writer. After all these years, I still envy your talent. Your "I've got nothing to say" says such a lot.
--Noel Thanks, Noel. I appreciate your appreciation for how lyrics are put together - and the unsaid parts. Southern Rock Floyd! ZZ Jane! Very cool what you're doing here. I'm pretty impressed with your guitar solo, the playing and tone are really good. Your vocals are good but could be a bit more raspy. Smoking and whiskey help, but are not recommended. Enjoyed my listen. A LOT! Thanks a bunch, BD. Much appreciate the comments on guitar. The vocals are getting raspier all the time. Quickly. So I'll likely continue down this path (and others). 10 years ago I could not have sung this (convincingly). 10 months from now, it may be all I'm left with. Really glad you picked up the guitar Floyd. What a cool driving song. Excellent vocal and backtrack and love the guitar. Cool tone. Well done. Much appreciated, Scott... Floyd,
Listened to this some days ago . . . cool rocker . . . great write and production treatment. I think your solo is pretty damn good (and I've never been a big fan of Brent's BAIB solo tracks . . . always a bit hit or miss for me). Definitely a head rockin', toe tapping tune! Good stuff!!
Deej Thanks for that, Deej. "pretty damn good" seems like a good place to be Well, Floyd, for 3:18 you said nothing quite well - articulate!
