I’m running it on an m1 Mac OS sequoia 15.1.1 with 16gb ram with 2024 audiophile biab. Very often when I insert an intro into my project, for example the program crashes. It also crashes repeatedly with other simple actions that include generating track opening piano roll etc...
These crashes are intermittent but way too frequent....although sometimes I'll go for stretches of a day or so where nothing crashes.
The crashing has happened in at least 20 different song projects in different genres.
Also when biab freezes, I check activity monitor and it shows biab using around 100gb of ram (in red) during a "generate" clicking of my mouse.

There should be a crash report - if it doesn't show you one, try going to Applications | utilities | console. Could you please email that information to support, with details about what you were doing when it crashed?

I hope I'm on the right part of the forum etc ? I'm somewhat of a newby.
I updated my software to Sonoma 14.7.5
Im on 2023.0.707 and have various updates/add ons whatever.

I haven't used BIAB for a while.
Today I tried to start it as usual but it just keeps crashing.

You may be better off creating a new thread. By tagging onto a thread that hasn't seen any posts in six months it's possible your new post and issue may get overlooked.

Anyhow, I hope your issue gets resolved. Welcome to the forum.

I've seen this one before.

Your crash report suggests that the error involves ROSETTA. Rosetta 2 being enabled is required by BIAB through 2024. I had this happen about 6 months ago after a Sonoma update and it was resolved by re-enabling Rosetta 2 — I have no idea how it became unenabled on my system. The "Install Rosetta" error that was supposed to pop up didn't. I know that Apple says that it should but it didn't for me. Try the following first:

Open Terminal.app. Copy the following command and paste it into Terminal, then hit the Enter or Return key.

softwareupdate --install-rosetta

Quit Terminal and Reboot your Mac. Now see if you still have the problem.
