The Users Forum is always a bit better place to visit when you make an appearance.
Such a beautiful piece! You have a special way with music. I love the simplicity of the backing tracks—everything it needs and not a hint of the unnecessary. You literally make music sing at its best.

Alan Hi Alan. It is always great to see you  Thank you for visiting. When I started working on this poem and turning it into lyrics, I was amazed at how easily everything fell into place once I had the first verse organised. As mentioned in posts above a couple of times, the first verse is a reproduction Barrett Browning's original words, original meter and original rhyme scheme. In making her words into lyrics, I changed the poetic flow so that it would fit with music. With that done, I used the remainder of EBB's words to inspire me in the creation of additional lyric material. Creating this song was a very satisfying journey for me. Being guided by EBB's work took me in directions I would never have chosen by myself. I hope that you and Di had as terrific a Christmas as possible, and I wish you everything good for 2025. --Noel Please let Di know that I think of her often and send healing thoughts her way.

This is a wonderful example of “less is more” and is simply beautiful. Natalie’s voice is perfect for this and her humming part was such a delightful interlude. Janice has always been a big fan of EBB’s poetry and she is looking forwarding to sharing your song with her sisters during the holidays. You said, “Honestly, I like tinkering with Synth V's vocals. I find it fun.” It’s great you're having fun because reading your workflow about how you created such a fine production would intimidate a lot of folks! Including us. Loved it! J&B Hi J&B. Thank you heaps for taking the time to pop in, have a listen and comment. I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to get back to you. I actually thought of Janice when I wrote this. I wanted to create something that would sit comfortably with her vocals and her sense of lyric phrasing. That helped me a great deal when it came to shaping the song and putting it together I hope that the two of you have had a good December. I also wish you all the very best for 2025. Noel,
The song is about deep love, sung over simple accompaniment, and is very moving.
Synthesizer V Natalie's vocals also fit this song well.
The beautiful melody does not require any extra accompaniment.
It is gorgeous enough on its own.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

When I read this, I thought wow, what an ambitous undertaking. You did a great job with this. You have such a good voice, could you not have sung it? Really impressed with what you did, as someone else said, "a masterpiece." I think the "masterpiece" aspect of this song comes from Elizabeth Browning Barrett. Her sonnet is the masterpiece. I'm just riding along on her talent Thanks for having a listen! I have a recording of me singing this but Natalie does it a 1000 times better than I can do it so, in the end, I went with her. Synth V is quite amazing once you start getting the hang of how to increase the realism. All the very best for 2025! --Noel

Cool stuff. This started playing after I listened to another user's tune.....
Natalie has an almost male/unisex quality to her voice. I kinda liked that aspect.
