I think your request for color coded sections is an extension of requests going back decades to think of a song differently. BIAB began as a program to play tunes from jazz fakebooks, and treats the term ‘chorus’ as the jazz definition (once through the tune). Some users think of songs not in the jazz way, where you have the terms shown in the graphic above like intro, verse, chorus, bridge etc. BIAB can label sections using rehearsal letters like S, T, U etc. or numbers, but not full words. And using the song form you can define your own A, B etc. sections then play the song by specifying the order of those sections. Once BIAB goes through next step and they call the song sections by names like verse, bridge, it would make sense to be able to color them.
