<< when it was in Chicago >>

I just recently found out the guitar my parents purchased in 1059 was the first Gibson Double Neck prototype guitar and was built for the 1957 NAMM Trade Show at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago. I was able to find a photo of the guitar used during that show and more documentation the museum used to validate the guitar to be both the initial prototype and also the one at the NAMM Trade Show. I wonder if that would get me a ticket to this year's show? ;=)

EDIT: While this photo is from an article about the show and that is the correct guitar in the photo, the text on the photo is incorrect. The guitars model name wasn't designated as the model EDS-1275 until years later. It's probably a mock-up but a cool photo nevertheless.
