Noel, this song has all the warmth and humanity I have come to associate with your songs. So beautiful, full of emotion ... I love it. Kevin is a great choice for this song, though, like Ray said, I do miss your own voice The lyrics are absolutely stunning, of course ... wow. Thank you for sharing this really, really beautiful song with us! Hi James. It's good to see you. Thank you for all your kind words. I really appreciate them All the very best, --Noel

Noel,
Listened to this some days ago . . . liked it a ton then . . . like it a ton now. Awesome write and nice work with the Synth voices . . . not the same as live, but pretty darn close (and probably mostly me missing your voice). Really soft on the ears and compelling emotionally. So well done!!

Wow, that's a great piece of music! I even like Kevin! I wrote a song by the same title once, but yours is more of a journey making home all the more precious. Hi BYOB. Thank you for having a listen. I appreciate it a great deal. When I wrote the song, I was trying to capture feelings of nostalgia and home-sickness. I'm not sure that I achieved my goal, but your kind words give me heart ♥️ All the very best, --Noel

Oh, Noel, keep thinking like that. This one brought your thought to a sensational reality. Cool harmony and a truely glorious sentament. Your home patiently waits. Just such a fine piece of music. Hi Marty. It's always good to see you. I'm glad you you enjoyed your journey. Thank you for taking the time --Noel

Captivating gentle melody. Synth voice sounds good, although I like yours too. Good choice for the piano. Production is clean and builds well. Hi ES. I'm glad you had a chance to have a listen. Thank you Because my musical background is strongly based on piano, I always keep coming back to it as an instrument. It always feels comfortable for me when a piano is part of the band. Thanks again. --Noel

A good re-do, Noel. Sounds like Kevin is covering Noel (and imitating him). fj Hey floyd! Thank you. I appreciate your visit and your words I know I have to work on Kevin's Aussie accent, though. It's quite a challenge for him. --Noel

Love the sentiment, Noel. The arrangement is well suited to this gentle song. Must be difficult to get these AI voices to perform with passion but you seem to be getting the hang of it.
Vic.

Good song, I especially liked the chorus. As others have noted, you have a good voice and it is somewhat missed here. I'm listening to that bridge now and wow, it's so good. Good job with Synth V.

Great to hear a new song from you, Noel, it's been too long!
I was surprised to read that you used a synth vocal on this, it actually sounds very similar to what I remember you sounding like and I wouldn't have known if you hadn't told me.
Love the way you write, always, and just a top notch production. Enjoyed!

Noel,
It's a very beautiful song. You have your own wonderful archives. I also often pull out songs from my archives, but many of them are songs I didn't like and abandoned half-finished, so they will never end up being such great songs. And your use of Synth V is also wonderful. It is somewhat similar to your singing style. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Lovely lyric, melody, arrangement, and an excellent light open mix
Kevin’s phrasing is enough like yours that we can hear your voice too. 😊 The lovely harmony from Solaria had Janice singing along. They are both well nuanced.
We can see a sailor on deck staring at the horizon in a very contemplative manner.
We always enjoy your productions and this is no exception!
J&B
PS. We ride by Janice’s home place often as it warms her heart to remember all the good times there with her family. PPS: Love the cover art — there are so many similar old houses in our area. We spend a lot of time photographing them. Hi Janice and Bud, Thank you so much for taking the time to have a listen. I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to get back to you. Life doesn't travel in straight lines for me these days, and I often run out of steam before I can get to things that need doing (like replying to people). I would have loved to have heard Janice singing harmony Whenever I work with Natalie in Synth V, Janice's vocals help me model an awful lot of the Natalie's final result. The image that presented itself to you as you listened is very similar to the one that I had in my mind when I wrote the song. It made me smile to read your comment! All the very best, --Noel

This is a really beautiful and touching song! Lyrics are heartfelt, I really love these lines "This life’s a game of snakes and ladders/That never seems to end/There are times I climb and conquer/And there are times I slip and slide and start again".
The melody and chords are sweetly harmonious and the way the bridge lifts up the mood is fantastic.
The arrangement is very pleasant, each instrument has nicely its own place in the mix.
I can't believe how well you have made the singer sound exactly like you, I almost thought it was really you! Not just the natural flow of the words, but the sound and quality. The female harmony fits perfectly with the male, you've clearly worked hard and it really shows.
Janne Hi Janne. It's great to see you. Thanks for mentioning the "snakes and ladders" lines. I don't know how that translates to listens around the world but here in Australia, Snakes and Ladders s a board game that children play. It was very popular in the 1960s. I really appreciate your comments. All the very best, --Noel

Noel,
As previously mentioned, Kevin's voice has your personal vocal mannerisms in its presentation.
Sometimes those oldies lurking about turn into treasure when reimagined - particularly when done so with BIAB and your talent.
So lovely and peaceful. You are a true talent!
Wishing you everything good.
Alan Hi Alan. I apologise for taking so long to reply to you. Thank you for visiting and for having a listen. I always smile when I see that you've dropped by. I hope that things are travelling as well as possible for you and Di. I often think about you both and send healing thoughts your way. Take care --Noel

Vic. Hi Vic. Thank you dropping in. I appreciate the visit. The Synth V voices are quite amazing. It's not all that hard to get an 'okay' sound from them but to get a realistic sound takes a bit more effort. Slowly I'm learning the tricks of the trade! --Noel
