It has been a very long time since I have posted any new material here. Life has taken so many turns for Rachel and me over that past 4 years. I have really needed to prioritize my time. I am spending as much time as possible with the love of my life. Rachel will celebrate our 49th anniversary in a few months. She is my inspiration. For years, I have written a song for her every year on our anniversary. But the past 4 years, I have needed to give her myself, and not just a song. She is worth it! She continues to stay cancer free. There are other physical battles we are fighting now, and we are standing strong in our faith in our wonderful God! Thank you to all my friends here who have been standing with us. All things are possible! So I told Rachel I wanted to take a little time and write a song for her this week. She was happy to hear it. Wonderful, in all regards! I’m amazed at the number of RTs that you used..that tells me that you are attentive to all the little details of the arrangement with an eye to making it as “perfect” as you can—this inspires me to “go the extra mile” to look for those little “tweeks” that get me to the next level. Vocal A++, production, too. Also, thanks for including the backstory—great to hear the your sweetheart is doing well.

Steve, gorgeous song! Nicely arranged backing track and enjoyable mix. Super vocals, harmonies and vocal arrangement. Am sure this melted Rachel's heart. I enjoyed it very much, too.  Wishing all the good things for you and Rachel in 2025.

Steve, your music is some of the very best that has ever graced this forum! Those words are from the heart and sincerely meant! This song is another shining example of what I just said! Hi, Steve. Good to see you back, if only for one song. I always enjoy hearing you. Easygoing song, simple and to the point. All the parts work nicely. My nit - there seems to be phasing on the vocals, especially on the longer chorus. I think it's because you've got the highs boosted, so it gets crispy. Not a big deal, still a lovely song.

Love it, Steve. Not just the song, but the feelings you have for each other. Man, this song is so chilling. So well written and sung with the emotion of a half century of loving someone. Steve and Rachel, I pray that everything will work out for you and things will get better this year. I know it can take up a lot of your time as my wife of 57 years is having some health problems also.

This is smooth and lovely. More importantly, I'm so happy to hear Rachel is continuing to be clear. I'm a 12-year survivor of cancer and still going strong!
Your vocal is so smooth - reminds me a little bit of Greg Johnson. The words that came to mind as I listened were "joyfully delicate". What a great listen!
And here's wishing you and Rachel an early "Happy Aniiversary"! Di and will celebrate our 12the year in May. we were old when we got married!
Much happiness and continued good health for Rachel this year.

I've been waiting for a new song from you and finally the new masterpiece is here. Just a simple pop song, but a perfect one in every detail. Smooth and pleasant band like straight from the 70's, the drums and the solo guitarist are especially great selections. Lovely lyrics about deep love. Very emotional vocals. Beautiful and heartfelt, I wouldn't change a thing.
