Hi, floyd jane. Pentatonic playing is the best fit over a blues progression? I'm shocked! Shocked, I say.  The song works as a song, as well as an excuse for playing solos. Isn't that what rock is all about anyway? Nice. Thanks, David.... Superb. Superb song, great playing, great singing (as usual). I hope I, one day, write like this when I have nothing to write about  . Love the edge in this song - throughout (in your voice, playing, writing). I've heard many beautiful ballads from you, as well as some brilliant up tempo songs ... this is "biting", edgy stuff. And I really like the message of the song, too - it speaks for itself, nothing more to say than what it fully says. Well done. Much appreciated, James... Sounds good to me, Floyd, I was jamming along while I listened  Playing pentatonic scales is certainly the first step, and many of the old masters made a career doing just that, Albert King comes to mind, Otis Rush too, and many more.
