Smooth Sunrise

Things have been a little hectic here so I thought that I would just chill and have a little jam.

BiaB style - Smooth Jazz - Pop Lat
Tempo - 95 PBM
Bass - Ample Bass - P-Bass
Piano - Lounge Lizard - Tine Bassed - 1BFly1
Guitar - Kontakt - Jazz L4
Strings - UJam- USSynth - Core - Big Bad Benny
Percussion - various Kontakt patches

I am playing my Jay Turser Jazz Box Guitar and via my MIDI controller keyboard the vibes:
Vibes - Kontakt - Pure Jazz Vibes

As always all comments are welcomed.

Mario, very fine track indeed. Love the stereo, especially the percussion. That EP(?) sounds nice, too. Nicely mixed. Super jazz guitar tone, elegant theme and tasteful licks. Nice one!

If peaceful and smooth was your objective—bullseye! I esp liked the perc…at times it takes conscious effort to step away from a “packaged” drum track, but when you do, you usually get something really worthwhile, like the tambourine/bongos, or whatever they are. Wonderful groove.

Smooth sunrise indeed. Very much a soundtrack piece.

Well done.

I've never actually seen a bumpy Sunrise, but your song is really smooth, even if there's a bit too much percussion (at least for my taste) to be 100% smooth.
I still like it though...

Nice to have that sun on this snow day in Virginia. That's a smooth tropical sunrise by the sound of it. Nicely done!

I was a little apprehensive about the percussion but I left it in. Maybe I should have deleted it.

Thanx so much.
We have just a little snow right now but this week it is going to be very cold the next few days, single digit temperatures with wind chill around -15F (-26C) and 6" (152mm) of snow.

Hi Mario.

This is wonderful listening.
I love your choice of instruments.
The ambiance that the percussion created worked really well for me.
Your ability to improvise in a meaningfully musical way is exceptional. I envy your talent.
As I listened, you and your music took me to nice places inside my mind.

Hi Mario,

I don't know if hectic times are good. Mostly not, but when I hear what those hectic times did to you...
A very relaxing, lovely song, you made!
I think I can agree with all here.
The hectic pace has a special effect on you. I just don't know if this hectic should continue...
But knowing you, you can get your inspiration from anything, right?

Hans

Great performances, mix and arrangement.
A chill jam is perfecto for us given the weather situation!

Thanks and we enjoyed it,

Thanx so much Hans. I try to get inspired by everything I see, read, or hear. Getting down so it sounds good is another story.

Thanx Janice an Bud. If you think your cold come up here right now! Today's low was 3F (-16C) and the wind chill has been -15 to -20F (-26C to -29C). Tomorrow, Jan. 21, it is going to be colder. We only have about 6 inches (25.4mm) of snow. The big difference is we are used to it and prepared to handle it and your area is not so stay safe and warm.
