I know I could try it and see but I've never used it in either program and now for the first time I want to. If they are different which is the easiest and most accurate? Posts in various forums suggest RB is not as good as BIAB.
So to make my life easy please advise me which one to pick. If it's BIAB i'll save the song, and open the BIAB file in RB as that's what i'll use to add tracks and record vocals - simply because that's what i'm used to. Thanks in advance.

I prefer the BIAB version. The Realband version of ACW is the version that used to exist in BIAB before 2018. Many people still prefer this older version. If you want a tutorial on the post-2018 ACW in BIAB, I wrote one last year and included practice audio and images to allow users to work through the tutorial in a step-by-step manner. I estimate that it will take around 1 hour to go through the tutorial and follow along with what I do. https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=821394#Post821394

I have a track for a song a fiend and I wrote together but he is now the other end of the country so we are dealing remotely. The track is a key board track of piano and what i think is strings added as an aftertouch on the keyboard. Its not recorded to a clock track. What I'd like to do is get the chords, standardise the timing and replae the aftertoch strings with someting nicer from RTs. Then add a light percussion track and finally sing in a new vocal..
ACW and stems splitting sounds ideal. Shoud I do it in RB and BIAB - I always record in RB as Ican add several traks of harmony easily on separate tracks.
I have a freebie version of melodyne but idon't think its polyphonic and woudn't deal with a piano track bu there is one short dud note in the piano part i'd lke to get rid of. Any sugestions?

Bob.
i would test out in both acw bb and rb and see what is best for you.
heres what i would experiment with in order...
1..slow down song by 50 percent as it is easier to set bar lines. 2..use stem splitter AFTER testing acw in bb and rb... and haveing derived chords for the song.
every song is different eh ? dunno if this helps....but...just some ideas. Noels acw pdf is fab imho.
happiness.

Bob,
If you are more comfortable/experienced in Realband, I'd recommend trying the ACW in that program. It will do the job you want.
