I have, for a VERY long time, Wished for a user-definable “Essential Settings” control that would allow us to reduce the menus from an impenetrable dogpile of wonderful, subtle adjustments to this incredible environment we have available to us, down to what WE need to what WE want, AND NO MORE.

The idea is not original to me. Years ago there was an Aston Martin Lagonda, the dash panel of which displayed ONE HUNDRED FORTY FOUR (144) READINGS. Since this was clearly too much for everyday driving, the maker thoughtfully provided an Essential Settings switch, which reduced the glaring mass of indicators down to 12.

In all truth, I may use five percent (5%) of what BIAB has to offer. And I WISH WISH WISH that I could pick and choose which Settings are displayed, and reduce those overwhelming listings down to what *I* use regularly, AND that others could do the same.

I know that there are keyboard Shortcuts that anyone can learn and use. I even know of an adjunct bit of software which, because I have used it for decades, could make that task even easier. But that is another expense and another layer of complexity, when we are trying to SIMPLIFY things.

I am asking for a way to cut down what we see to ONLY what individuals users need for THEIR applications.

I don’t know how to phrase the idea any more clearly. I would lover others to mull over the concept and offer their thoughts.

Thanks for reading!
