I know I keep coming back to this, but I really think that a couple of extra buttons on the toolbar would improve the workflow for very little effort.
1) A global SOLO button, so that you can kill all the soloed tracks from any screen, not just the tracks screen. Now that we have the full height mixer, this becomes even more relevant - when you're working on the new mixer, there isn't really room to have the Tracks window open as well.
2) A button to access the Input Monitor directly from the toolbar. When tracking various instruments and voices, there's a need to visit the input monitor frequently and it's irritating to have to go through a menu-driven system each time.
There is plenty of spare room on the toolbar and it doesn't look like a lot of work, so please.....

I like it ... there's even room for another tab, maybe for features we choose to add via a 'Add To Toolbar' option. Am I asking too much?
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

I tried to make a button panel but there is no Unsolo All Tracks in the menus, it's only in the right click track context menu Solo > Unsolo All Tracks, not in the Mixer. The Mute & Solo right click menus in the Arranger Window should be in Edit > Track menu also then it could be accessed with the button panel below. How do you normally get the Input Monitor up ? ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=30081&filename=BB25-Custom-Menu-AHK.png)

For the input monitor you have to use the VSTi/DFXi button on the toolbar, click on TRACK at the top of that window and then scroll down to where it says INPUT MONITOR.

I can't find an easy way of doing that. I spent years with RealBand trying to make it better but having to create so many workarounds. If it worked well for me in the first place you would not now have the BB Plugin and Reaper Biab Scripts, RealBand was the main thing that drove me to creating those ideas. RealBand should of had a lot more work put into it and it could of been an All In One goto product. Also not having a Mac version has limited it even more, but it is what it is and a lot of users still use it so it will get a few tweaks still in the years to come. I suggested non destructive editing for it, this would increase the generate speed no end, and reduce SEQ size but I can't really see that happening as it's not that big a market.
Anyway I did try to make up what you wanted but it's just very limiting to what can be done.

Thanks for trying - maybe we'll see it at the next update.
I still use Realband and Powertracks for tracking and editing and I think that if anyone is prepared to take time to learn the editing features, it's up there with the best for both audio and MIDI. The thing which lets it down doesn't actually affect the operation and that's the GUI, which looks very dated and amateurish these days. Sadly, it's what newcomers to the program see first and some never get past it.

re....because they don't do the stuff we suggest!
yep good point.
but bb the same imho.
i think frankly one prob is i suspect resources have to be expended re supporting various languages. i notice various music apps dont thus makeing it easier to bring an app to market faster. same prob in general industry.
i often wonder in the music app market segment what propoirtion of them support multi languages ? even tho i think multi language support is a great idea... and pg do obviously but then many plugins for example dont from what ive seen...correct me if i'm wrong. maybe pg are just too spread thin ?
also to be fair with other non pg apps the devs dont have to expend resources on content...thus freeing up time on their apps... eg daws etc.
anyhoo...to my fellow rb users that like rb like i do.... how about we create one wishlist thread re things we would like to see in rb....instead our ideas being spread all over the place ? this might things easier for pg instead of searching thru loads of threads ?? just an idea.
in closing lets not be too negative re rb... its still after my review of various daws my fav as it has many unique features. for me rb has been involved in over 90 final songs and a slew of idea developments...AND it has come a long way. like the rest of you i would like less 'trickle trickle ' of yearly features and more aggressive development. ie it IS getting there but not fast as we would all like. i'm a glass full type of guy...lol.
happiness to you all.

Peter's heart is in Biab so that is what gets all the attention, he is probably more of an auto accompaniment than a DAW user. I did try for many years: Video Link

Where can RealBand go from here if there is not a Mac version also ? So many audio creators have Mac, that's why PG made a Mac Biab. If we rewound the clock and more work was put into RealBand like the generate code internally instead of using bbw2 and non destructive editing, rather than trying change Biab into a DAW from an auto accompaniment app, then it was made into a Mac version also... if RealBand was made into a quality DAW with internal generate code it would be a whole other story, but we can't do that so the next best thing is put more into the crossplatform JUCE C++ Plugin/Plugin Standalone that will work in any DAW and OS of your choosing. Sure you love RealBand like I did but it's gone as far as it will go, it just gets little things added each year. If I was programing it I would add these things then upload it the next day for you, not a year later each time. ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=29973&filename=BBPlugin-Track-Edit-Arrange.png)
