The minimalistic funk style of the early Meters records. The early records, "The Meters", "Struttin'", "Looka-Py-Py", "Cabbage Alley", have a lot of 4-instrument tunes with a mixture of even 16th notes and shuffle 16ths, without the proliferation of wah-wah guitar all over the place that the current BIAB styles use. Organ, clean Guitar, Bass, Drums. "Hey Pocky A-Way" has such a classic mixture of swing 16th notes and even 16th notes, defining a genre of funk style all it's own.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
