When using this feature I often come cross song tracks that I might like to choose for alternating parts of a track. Is there a way to re-vist a previously generated pattern other than saving it?

You could regenerate the section so many times that you duplicate the earlier one you like. This might take a great deal of time. If you like a track but still want to experiment to see if there is something better, first move the track to a Utility track.

Similar to Matt's suggestion, you could set aside any unused track as a copy/paste pattern favorites track. Clips from any track can be added sequentially with spaces between each clip.
If you are using all 24 of the Mixer Tracks, you can add favorite generated patterns, snippets, phrases, drum rolls and such on any used track by placing them beyond the end of your song. They will be saved with the SGU file, but won't render with the song itself.

On Mixer, right-click track and select Track Settings and action Dialog <Ctrl>>F7> Select Copy/Move ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=29132&filename=2024-11-25_22-19-53.jpg) Select Source and Destination Tracks. OK, great. I can't recall how to do this with the 2022 version, but you'll be OK in a short while.

Yes, I’m not sure there were so many Utility tracks in that version. Anyway, you’ll soon have no problem.

Another way to access the track copy/move dialog is via the menu Edit->Copy Special->Copy/Move Tracks.
That may be where you'll find it in 2022.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

Having tried this urility in BiaB 2025, I am a puzzled at how this feature actually works.
I already have a melody track that was created by the Melodiist. The track had a name 'SynthPad'. Using this utility I selected the SynthPad track as the source and Untily #1 as the destination track. I opted to copy the track (default). The end result was that the Utility#1 was still named Utility#1 and the instrument named Mono 32-bit.
I expected to see the Utility#1 track to have the same name as the source and the instrument to be the same. The notes on the Utiliy#1 track were those of the source. However, on a further copy from a Guitar track provided the same behaviou but the notes were transposed down!
I also do not understand what the selection of Midi Channels is for, I thought I was simply copying the entire track!
Am I misunderstanding the way in which this feature works.
