As a new user I absolutely agree that the UI is extremely outdated. As a new user you may not yet know there are two interfaces at present, the very old style in Henry's videos and a newer, more compact style that suits me better. Switch between them with Ctrl-T.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
