I get exactly what you are requested. While in short term you want to prolong hold or even overlap to next bar, I am guessing it's a bit more than that. To "humanize" space. Not sure what exact musical term it falls under... A very slight pause between one bar and another, but less than a beat, which in your case would prolong the hold. I think it's called "breath mark" (luftpause or comma) in notation.

No, no pause between the bars. The sustain should not end at the end of the “Hold” bar, but should continue into the next one.
