Good morning. My housemate is trying to learn chords from some specific songs that aren't generally available to the public, so I'm importing the wave files into the ACW to try to extract the chord sequence from them.

The problem is that the accuracy is far from anywhere near accurate. I took two songs which I KNOW the chord progression for them, and in the second song, I have, MAYBE, a 40% accuracy. First few bars of the song are an F for two bars, an F6 for two bars, a F Major 7th for four bars. The ACW comes up with F for one bar, Csus for a bar, F for a bar, C for a bar, F Major 9th (which I can't complain about) for a bar, C for a bar, F Major 9th, and then a C. Then, the next four bars are written as F for two bars, F7 for two bars and the ACW comes up with F for one bar, C sus for one bar, F9 and F#m6 in one bar followed by a Cm. By the way, this particular song is 'Matchmaker' from 'Fiddler On The Roof.'

The accuracy is atrocious. For my housemate, he's trying to learn three Christian music songs, one a rock song, one a country style, and one I would call it a Funk Jazz style. One he has some idea of what the chords are, but the other two he doesn't, and I want to give him the best available, but I need the ACW to be more accurate.

Some of you have the wonderful ability of perfect pitch. I don't, not even close, so I have no idea if any of these things are even close to being right. In the Funk Jazz song there's a bar with four descending chords, and it only picked up two of them, although they are very clear to hear.

So, if anyone has any idea on how to make the ACW more accurate, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Gary

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!
