Hi Ron,

Great sound! Yes, BIAB has never done pushes properly, and I'm thinking it will never happen at this point.

Your guitars sound perfect, as does Dusty's vocal. Clever write as per usual.

Good stuff, enjoyed.

Ha! Yes, the workplace dating policy has evolved a bit over the years, at least here in America. Glad you liked the song!

Nice.

Hi, David. Well, THANKS for the positive perspective. Y'know, we do a lot of tunes that are neither perky, nor fun, nor uplifting, but they perhaps aren't as enjoyable to listen to, so...why consume the energy here? That word "fun" is where we're at, or try to be. Glad you loved the song! That was fun to hear. smile

Excellent mix.

Very much enjoyed.

"AI: None" - just the right amount.

Thanks, Floyd! Have abandoned a lot of pushes on other songs due to BiaB limits, but this song really required them. Truth is I leaned more heavily on the-best-BiaB-can-do before I retired. Now that I have the time, I should really get back to playing the stuff I can play. It's a little slower, but a lot of fun. And it's all about fun, right? Glad you enjoyed the tune!

Thank you, Charlie! "A dangerous endeavor" is a spot-on summation of the environment. So many of these workplace attractions end up badly (though some do not) that the happy ending in this tune is a nice little lift. Glad you enjoyed the tune!

I guess you could say, "Everything in this song adds up perfectly."

Unexpected stories with humor and positivity, I'm very glad to hear such pop music on this forum by your team. Strangely funny lines like "And as she gazed out the window, I wanted to shout/But knowing the rules, I took a timeout", and very good advices "Cos some things only come around once in your life/They’re more important than working from nine to five".

I enjoyed the arrangement and the mix, the drums sound very good and those guitars are delicious - they create older indie/college rock feel where passion for playing is more important than perfection.

Your melodies are contagious as always and the vocalist sounds like a very famous singer who I've been listening for several years - I guess that implies that he is now famous smile

Very nice. It's got that jangly pop sound and story line.

My only nit is the the bass seems a bit lite. It could have had a more solid bottom end

Wow, there are so many great rhymes in that lyric!
Janice immediately said “That is a sweet story told in a clever and amusing way.”

- Great vocal
- Powerful drums
- Excellent mix
- Cool work with your ax and the RT’s

A joyous sound that we much enjoyed!

Thanks! Marshall did a lot of Buddy Holly and Bobby Fuller style arrangements, and I can definitely hear that, too. My lyricist has written many (maybe mostly) story songs, and I find them very rewarding to work with. Glad you enjoyed the tune!

Thanks, Janne! Definitely have more passion than perfection in those guitars, but I like the way they bounce off each other. Dusty is a supremely gifted vocalist for sure. He should be much more well known than he is. Appreciate the listen!

Thanks, Herb! I bumped the bass up with EQ & volume based on Ray's input, but I'll listen to it again. There's always something!

Dan, THANK YOU for the listen! Story songs have always been my favorite song form, and I'm luck to have a lyricist that writes what I love to compose to. Glad you enjoyed this one!
