Here's the first new song of the new year. 100% proudly non-organic. I decided to play with the new features of stem splitter and use the ACW to cobble this together. It started as an AI production. You can guess how much was edited but I'm not telling. The song was started as an AI production, dragged into Band in a Box and disassembled by the stem splitter and then beat into submission using the ACW to match up the tempo which had more variation than one would hope for in a song created by a machine. The tracks: I was tempted to play the piano and the guitar solo but ultimately in my pursuit of non-organic excellence, I opted to use one of the solo acoustic guitar real tracks. Some of the original stems were mixed in with the BB tracks. Breathing In, Breathing Out Bass: 2474 Drums: Jamstix 4 in audio mode Guitars 2914 & 4898 Steel: 2667 Fiddle: 3075 Piano: 4902 LYRICS Woke up to the sound of rain Life's a dance of joy and pain Breathin in the air so sweet Feel the world beneath my feet Walking through the crowded streets With every stranger heart that beats Living moments one by one Chasing shadows in the sun Breathin in breathin out Every whisper every shout Life's a journey take it slow Feel the rhythm let it flow Stars above and ground below In the middle here we glow Nothing's certain that I know But I let my spirit show Watch the sunset paint the sky In the blink time passes by Holdin on and lettin go Life's a story we all know Breathin in breathin out Every whisper every shout Life's a journey take it slow Feel the rhythm let it flow

Herb,
That is an excellent inspirational song. Love the band & mix. The singer is great - is that an AI voice?

Bob So the vocal track is a stem extraction from the original AI generated song. I didn't use synth v for this like a have been doing.

You should be 100% proud of and I'm sure you are. Top notch production. I do a couple of these about every day but haven't thought much of posting one. Glad you did. I enjoyed this a lot. Charlie

Herb...very nice...the vocal sounds like a Suno AI voice? after hearing these the Synth V voices sound very stiff and difficult to work with...this tech is helping many people (yours truly) express our songs in new ways...enjoyed the listen.

Herb, super song. Never would have guessed the origins were as you described. It all sounds great, and the arrangement is quite nice. The vocals (including the harmonies) are especially nice. The few faint artifacts at the very end may have been unavoidable given source material. Pretty amazing stuff.

Hi, Herb.
Those Suno voices are really good. Except for the artifacts at the end, it really sparkles.
The arrangement is excellent, too!

Love this, Ai definitely has a role to play despite some negative posts about it in the PG forums in the past. I take it if Suno voices that is a paid for plan. Great Job Herb.

Yes you have to spend time with the synth v voices to make them sound real. This is in fact a Suno AI voice. I was pleased with the stem extraction from BB. This opens a whole new world of possibilities as long as the Suno version is good. One of the things about the synth v voices is the ability to change the lyrics easily. So far, Suno is not cooperating with that quite yet.

What a wonder of simplicity this sounds but I suspect there was nothing simple about it's construction. Well did.

Herb, this is an outstanding song and demonstration on what BiaB and a little imagination can accomplish. I've got to remember that put the vocal out of a AI song, brilliant! Super song.

Hi Herb,
Superb song and sensational vocals - congratulations.
The lead break section was a little confused but otherwise perfect production.
Thanks Best Regards Nigel

Herb,
Truly an amazing song! You did a wonderful job with the AI vocal
It's a simple and to-the-point song - that's how most good ones are constructed and presented. A tip of the proverbial hat for a project very weel done.
Best to you,
Alan

What a great job, and a very creative path to this cool result, Herb. That stem feature was the first thing I tried, too. Mine not so good. This is fantastic, albeit non-organic. Yeah that RT acoustic fit so perfectly, but I always like what you do too. Excellent vocal. Did you have to regenerate the solo --sometimes even one measure at a time? Either way, it's perfect, as is the whole thing.

The few faint artifacts at the very end may have been unavoidable given source material. Pretty amazing stuff. Thanks Ron. I was just curious about how well the stem extraction was for BB and I finally figured out how to use the ACW correctly so this was an experiment in that aspect of the music. The only thing I can figure about the artifacts several people have mentioned is that I used the last line of the chorus and did a quick and dirty copy/paste with somewhat sloppy edits to make it fit. I used melodyne to change one note but I think it was the edits that contributed to the "artifacts".

Love this, Ai definitely has a role to play despite some negative posts about it in the PG forums in the past. I take it if Suno voices that is a paid for plan. Great Job Herb. Thanks. In Suno the voices are simply part of the song. Male or female and generally of the proper timbre for the song. As it turns out, I did get a subscription so I had sufficient credits and "ownership" to the rights. But the voices are not stand alone voices like you have in synth v for example
