Hi, on a Band in a Box file i tried to arrange shots as in the B-section of Wayne Shorters Speak No Evil on the original Blue Note recording, but found no way that works, tried all possibilities with shots/hold chords/rest etc. in the chord options tool. Can someone explain how to do? The shots are marked red over the melody notes in the attached lead sheet. I succeded more or less okay in the A sections. It's just the B section which gives me a headache. TIA
Great tune. BIAB should be able to do this using eighth note pushes, but if you have a recent version, the Microchords dialog might be easier. For Pushes, look up Help, Rests Shots Holds. I’m doing that from memory; will check later, but you must have pushed the Em11 from bar 9 so it falls on the and of 4 in bar 8.
As long as there are no more than four in a measure and no two fall next to each other, Pushes should be possible.

Thanks Matt. Problem solved, i just found my "wrongdoing". I forgot to activate in the preferences menu the two options "allow any rest" & " allow any pushes". Now it works like a charm :-).
